Since the earliest days of civilization, people have depended upon land surveyors to resolve questions of land boundaries and to provide the frame work for the location and building of infrastructure upon which the development of mankind has ridden.
Over 200 years ago leaders of this nation such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson served their fellow colonists as surveyors and set the standard for diligence, service and ethics which still guides the efforts of surveyors today.
Land surveyors provide an exceptional service to our communities, our country and our nation through their work to develop and improve transportation routes, buildings, water systems, housing projects land boundaries and much more.
I am proud to be part of this profession for 35 + years and the renewed awareness this week will bring.
